Dawn Kochan
Dawn Kochan is the proud owner of Empire Gymnastics & Fitness, Inc. She has over 40 yrs. of coaching experience, is friendly and cares about each student individually. She takes the time to help each student work through their fears as they strive to achieve their personal best, while having fun in gymnastics. As a former competitive gymnast & dancer, Dawn has great knowledge of what it takes to succeed in the sport. She has also been a judge for both men's & woman's gymnastics.
Dawn started as a student and coach at the former Empire School of Gymnastics from 1972-2003. At the age of 12, Dawn knew what her lifetime career & dream was...to coach gymnastics & become a gym owner. In 1980, Dawn attended college at Alt's Gymnastics Teachers Academy for coaches.
In 2003 the Empire Gymnastics program was shut down. Dawn decided to relocate and continue coaching gymnastics in the local area. With plenty of experience coaching, Dawn decided to take her dream and make it her own, opening for classes in May 2004. Students at Empire Gym, are able to flourish with the help of her expert coaching, her personal love and dedicated interest for gymnastics. Dawn believes that gymnastics is the sport of all sports!
